Frequently asked questions

How does debt collection work?
If you have a past-due bill, the company may decide to sell your debt to a third party, such as our firm’s clients, to collect what you owe. When this happens, you now owe the money to the buyer of your debt, not the original lender.

If you’ve received a notification about a debt from CA/USA, that means you must repay the debt to us, for our client, instead of to the company to which you originally owed money.

What if I can’t pay the entire amount due?

We are happy to work with you to create a payment plan you can afford; contact us to discuss your options.

What happens if I don’t pay my debt?

Our goal is to help you take care of your debt in a way that works for you. It’s important to pay your balance, set up a payment plan, or contact us as soon as possible. If you don’t take action in a timely manner, you may be subject to immediate and firm legal action.

What if I don’t think I owe the debt I have been contacted about?

Please contact us if you believe there has been an error, including the amount of the bill or whether you owe the debt. We will gladly look into the issue right away.

What should I do if my contact information has changed?

If we’ve contacted you at a mailing address, email address, or phone number that is no longer accurate, please let us know so we can update our records and ensure you receive important communications in the future.

I have multiple debts and can’t pay them all; how can I get help?

Debt consolidation companies will negotiate with companies on your behalf to reduce your debt or extend the amount of time you have to pay it. These companies may also offer debt consolidation loans.

Credit counseling organizations offer education and support to help you manage your debt. They might negotiate with creditors to lower your interest rate or reduce your monthly payments.
